Managing Phobias with Hypnotherapy
The National Health Service (NHS) website defines a phobia as "an overwhelming and debilitating fear of an object, place, situation, feeling or animal."
Common phobias are a fear of flying in a plane, heights, open spaces, spiders, clowns, dogs, cats or injections.
Fears and phobias can interfere with your day to day life. They can restrict and hold you back from leading a healthy life. For example, agoraphobia can lead to not going out causing social problems.
When you experience your phobia, you may have physical symptoms such as sweaty palms, dizziness, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing.
I will explore your past and the incidents which may have caused your phobia to develop. There is often an underlying factor, such as a family history or a situation.
Hypnotherapy can work well with phobias. I will communicate with your subconscious mind to reduce, and even eliminate the fears that have developed over time.
